Review:
Inspired by films like The Road, Book of Eli, and Mad Max Liban wrote a script that pays homage to the post-apocalyptic genre. Also I was inspired by Richard Linklater's film, Boyhood, we decided to embark on a similar process. We shot the film over four years, to make our coming-of-age story and show the actors age over the course of the film.
As we produced this film, we involved college film students with real-life hands-on learning. The film students who were involved, brought SO much to the project. They came with many great ideas and their commitment and enthusiasm was contagious. This was an opportunity for them to learn by working alongside the film faculty and local film professionals. Some have called it a transformative experience and have taken what they've learned and have been applying it to their own projects, and some have gotten jobs right out of college with the experience they gained by working on the project.
