This movie is one of those Don't-miss-it movies! It's a serious adventure with tragedy and victory surrounding a space pirate named Harlock.
The story pulled me right in from the start with it's futuristic setting, Harlock himself, his memorable crew, and his nearly invincible ship. It made you feel as a part of the crew as you got to know the characters and the story unravels.
The story is fantastically deep, and truly captures the essence of the futuristic space setting, and the challenges that Harlock and the crew face as the story unfolds.
Graphically, to 2017, this is the best full 3D movie ever made. It has amazing detail in all areas, but especially notable in the characters, who were so life-like. The the ship and planet scenes really captured the feeling, and the space really did feel vast.
There came a point when watching this, after they had done so much, where it seemed like they could end it in a few minutes. So i looked to see how much time was left to see there was still 45 minutes, and i was ecstatic! It was at that point i realized this was a fantastic movie, and it went on to end like that too.
So check it out for sure if you get the chance, give it at least 20m to work its magic on you, and see if its your thing! I'm glad i did, it was fantastic!
