I saw this film at a Transgender film festival, hoping to get some insight into gender issues through a more artistic lens. The filming and editing are high quality, and although this movie is intriguing enough to watch through to the end, it never really provides any coherent story or resolution. There is a good bit of mystical and surreal imagery interspersed with a muddled story about a gender-indeterminate young person, a bisexual cafeteria worker, an old man, and a phone mysticsex operator. The relationships between these characters and others are unclear, and any plot never really resolves or reaches a conclusion. Although more serious students of film may draw some meaning from it, I found this movie to be a confusing and unfocused mishmash.
