No matter what happens around her. But one day will appear a 7 year old mysterious girl called Candela. Thereafter Bea's life will change, beginning a process of maturity, while a strong relationship between the two states. But, who is Candela?
The film is a story full of tenderness where science fiction, drama and some funny situations will lead us to an unexpected and surprising ending.
The Candela project was born in a breakfast meeting between Manuel Camacho, José Luis Pedrero & Alicia Bel (Blue Tear Producciones). Manuel Camacho wanted to develop a script for a short film based in time travels. José Luis Pedrero offered to help him and started to write Candela like a short. However, the story grew up and finally became a long film. But it had a big problem. Too many sets, lots of people and too much technical difficulties for this production in a large city like Valencia (Spain). Could they carry out that project? Then, José Luis Pedrero contacted with Carmen Blanco, manager of Teatrola Musical, a Murcia's theater company. Since 2013, both had worked together in the Musical "Pide un deseo" and many other theater projects. Carmen Blanco read the script and accepted immediately. Teatrola had the means to develop Candela in Murcia. Manuel Camacho was responsible to find the technical team. Diego Castillo joined them like Director of Photography. Carmen Blanco & Angeles Martínez searched all sets and made the casting. Angie Alma & Marta Villa were chosen to portray the main characters. Carmen Blanco was chosen by José Luis Pedrero to perform Paqui's character. The film was recorded in two months: July and August 2014.
Angie Alma plays Bea and it's an amazing performance from her. She carries the film with clever ease, full of emotion, that grabs you until the end. Marta Villa plays Candela and although her young age, she knows how to make us feel sad, happy... A little big star. Other cast, simply marvelous. All of them are their characters.
The film has been directed by Manuel Camacho, his first debut. Produced by Blue Tear Producciones (property of Manuel Camacho, José Luis Pedrero & Alicia Bel) & Teatrola Musical (property of Carmen Blanco & Angeles Martínez). The film has been carried out without any external financing and any helps.
Review by Manuel Camacho from the Internet Movie Database.
