Megiddo" is a supernatural ride into a world teetering on the edge of the Apocalypse. It follows the rise of a Machiavellian leader bent on amassing the armies of the world for the battle of Armageddon while calamities of Biblical proportion pummel the Earth. Though both prequel and sequel to "The Omega Code", "Megiddo" works also as a stand alone story for anyone who missed its predecessor. For at its emotional core, "Megiddo" is the Cain and Abel story of the two men enamored with the same woman, raised as brothers, who grow up to find themselves pitted against each other over the fate and souls of the entire world.

It really sits heavy on my heart that this movie, The Omega Code 2, was marketed as a "Christian" movie. This was not biblically set and I do not see where or how it will lead anyone to the true meaning of salvation. The Omega Code was done close to the biblical teachings but still some one took "artistic rights" in it, but this movie took too many "artistic rights" to be called a Christian production.

My first problem with this movie is that there is no mention of the rapture of the church. How can you even start a film on the book of Revelation with out some back ground or reference to the rapture of the church by Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. This is a total misdirection that the production crew of this movie took in portraying this book of the Bible.

In several places this movie strays from the Bible. It shows the Anti-Christ as the bringer of the plague of locusts. Did they even study their Bible in this area or did they just "go with what feels right? In Revelation 9:1-12 it says:

1And the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star fall from heaven unto the earth: and to him was given the key of the bottomless pit. 2And he opened the bottomless pit; and there arose a smoke out of the pit, as the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by reason of the smoke of the pit. 3And there came out of the smoke locusts upon the earth: and unto them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power. 4And it was commanded them that they should not hurt the grass of the earth, neither any green thing, neither any tree; but only those men which have not the seal of God in their foreheads. 5And to them it was given that they should not kill them, but that they should be tormented five months: and their torment was as the torment of a scorpion, when he striketh a man. 6And in those days shall men seek death, and shall not find it; and shall desire to die, and death shall flee from them. 7And the shapes of the locusts were like unto horses prepared unto battle; and on their heads were as it were crowns like gold, and their faces were as the faces of men. 8And they had hair as the hair of women, and their teeth were as the teeth of lions. 9And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle. 10And they had tails like unto scorpions, and there were stings in their tails: and their power was to hurt men five months. 11And they had a king over them, which is the angel of the bottomless pit, whose name in the Hebrew tongue is Abaddon, but in the Greek tongue hath his name Apollyon. 12One woe is past; and, behold, there come two woes more hereafter.

Please point out where it says in the Bible what is portrayed in this film that the plague of locusts will come from the mouth of the Anti-Christ. This type of "artistic rights" with this is straight from the great deceiver's mouth, Satan himself. Also where are the other seals, trumpets, and bowls that are in the Bible? Did they just re-write this also so it would "package and sale better to the masses"?

In this they also show a man, a man from earth of a sinful nature and born into sin, going in to battle the beast. Again where does it say that one among us (who are not worthy by any means with out our confession and repentance of our sins, confession that Jesus Christ is Lord and Savior, and belief and love for our Lord and God with all our heart, mind and soul) will challenge and fight the Anti-Christ? Last I looked it says in Revelation 19:11-21:

11And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True, and in righteousness he doth judge and make war. 12 His eyes were as a flame of fire, and on his head were many crowns; and he had a name written, that no man knew, but he himself. 13And he was clothed with a vesture dipped in blood: and his name is called The Word of God. 14And the armies which were in heaven followed him upon white horses, clothed in fine linen, white and clean. 15And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 16And he hath on his vesture and on his thigh a name written, KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS. 17And I saw an angel standing in the sun; and he cried with a loud voice, saying to all the fowls that fly in the midst of heaven, Come and gather yourselves together unto the supper of the great God; 18That ye may eat the flesh of kings, and the flesh of captains, and the flesh of mighty men, and the flesh of horses, and of them that sit on them, and the flesh of all men, both free and bond, both small and great. 19And I saw the beast, and the kings of the earth, and their armies, gathered together to make war against him that sat on the horse, and against his army. 20And the beast was taken, and with him the false prophet that wrought miracles before him, with which he deceived them that had received the mark of the beast, and them that worshipped his image. These both were cast alive into a lake of fire burning with brimstone. 21And the remnant were slain with the sword of him that sat upon the horse, which sword proceeded out of his mouth: and all the fowls were filled with their flesh.

This does not say that an earthly man or being will do these things. It says that our Savior Jesus Christ, King of Kings and Lord of Lords will do all these things.

The other thing that truly bothers me is the use of the word "hell" completely out of context. Could the writers not come up with anything better? It was used 3 times by the actor playing the President of the United States within a period of 5 minutes. How can we portray a Christian life and walk with God when we cannot make it through one hour and a half of entertainment without cursing. Does the Bible not say in James 3:1-12:

1My brethren, be not many masters, knowing that we shall receive the greater condemnation. 2For in many things we offend all. If any man offend not in word, the same is a perfect man, and able also to bridle the whole body. 3Behold, we put bits in the horses' mouths, that they may obey us; and we turn about their whole body. 4Behold also the ships, which though they be so great, and are driven of fierce winds, yet are they turned about with a very small helm, whithersoever the governor listeth. 5Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth! 6And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell. 7For every kind of beasts, and of birds, and of serpents, and of things in the sea, is tamed, and hath been tamed of mankind: 8But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison. 9Therewith bless we God, even the Father; and therewith curse we men, which are made after the similitude of God. 10Out of the same mouth proceedeth blessing and cursing. My brethren, these things ought not so to be. 11Doth a fountain send forth at the same place sweet water and bitter? 12Can the fig tree, my brethren, bear olive berries? either a vine, figs? so can no fountain both yield salt water and fresh.

But in this "Christian" production the actors are going against God's word and doing what it says not to. Oh Lord, please forgive us.

How can we show the secular world that we are Christians when movies produced by our representatives, advertised by our Christian stations, and suggested to our youth take artistic liberties with the Word of God? How can we show our youth that to live a life in Christ Jesus is true and right according to God's Word when movies produced as being our religious bearing does what the secular world does?

This movie was supposed to be a Christian movie to give our brothers, sisters and children in Christ an alternative but it has done nothing. The only thing this movie has done is lower the worlds already slanted and tainted view of Christians. Oh Lord, please hear your servants and have mercy on us.

I pray that if we cannot do better than this that we go back to spreading the gospel the way we have for centuries through fellowship and prayer.
