I was a very young child when I last saw this movie and I must say I only remember some parts of it. Let's see, there was a rocket, a clown, a couple of unsupervised kids, alien robots that spray water in your face, a machine that magically multiplies objects, a talking parrot, an outdoor shower, manually operated traffic lights... in short, everything kindergarten age children would find exciting. The story itself is not so important and the sets looked cheap to me even back then. But the movie has a certain atmosphere that is peaceful and adventurous at the same time. The theme music is also beautiful. Ferdinand was a very memorable character and I was sad when I heard of the actor's death some years ago.
