After an accident in a nuclear plant a la Chernobyl strange things begin to happen:animals like rats become bigger and bigger attacking scientists and Russian army.Dangerous radioactive leak causes rats, lizards, crows, snakes and even tortoise to become huge and deadly. So after watching Alexandre Aja's remake of "Piranha" I decided to watch this monstrosity."Monsters" by Sergei Kuchkov is a pure Z-grade garbage with some of the absolute worst special effects ever put to film. The animal attack scenes are strikingly inept and suspenseless and the acting is bad.The dubious highlight of this abysmal crap is when a tortoise very slowly hunts down and demolishes a armored tank and finally chases our trio of heroes into a building.Only for fans of TRULY atrocious cinema
