THE PLACE WHERE THE LAST MAN DIED is another indie feature from Croatia and another science fiction feature detailing the apocalypse. The non-existent storyline means that this is a film with little merit, but the visuals are enough to keep genre fans amused. The set dressers do a great job of building a devastated future full of destroyed technology, gas masks, and old equipment left to rot. It's as if the movie was made in the ruins of Chernobyl. A shame, then, that with all this effort the story is absolutely nothing.
